In over 224 countries and territories, 57 million Scouts of all ages learn by doing, through a fun and challenging programme of quality educational activities, with a strong focus on active citizenship and community service. Your generous support to World Scouting transforms lives, drives positive change, and is a power for good. Discover the impact of your support and the incredible impact of Scouting through six very different, inspirational initiatives from across the globe.

Strategy

In 2022 the Board of the Foundation adopted an ambitious new Strategy 2022–2030. Building on the strong foundations of its global network, a strengthened partnership with the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and passionate supporters of Scouting worldwide, we set in motion a new ambitious vision.

Donor Recognition

Our generous donors are at the heart of everything we do, providing their time, opening doors to new networks and contributing generously to the Foundation to bring our vision to life. In a year of uncertainty, you rallied around us and contributed an incredible USD 5.2 million for World Scouting — thank you!

Financials

Despite the unfavourable conditions of the financial market, which seriously impacted our investment portfolio, in 2022, we increased our fundraising efforts, which proved successful thanks to our Baden-Powell Fellows and new donors.

Governance

2022 was a transformative year for the Foundation in terms of governance and operations. The Board welcomed non-Board Members onto its Committees for Investment, Audit, Oversight and Fundraising to boost diversity and expertise to support the Strategy implementation.
