Year in Review

You gave generously to emergency appeals on the Scout Donation Platform throughout 2024 to support and sustain the Scout response to devastating wildfires in Chile; extensive flooding in Brazil, Eastern Europe, Nepal, Philippines, Spain and more; and countries in conflict including Palestine, Lebanon, Sudan and Yemen. Three days of WSF Board & Committee meetings in Stockholm ended on a high with an extremely generous donation from two longstanding BP Fellows and presentations to two new BP Fellows!

We celebrated the one-year anniversary of the updated Scout Donation Platform donate.scout.org with a dollar-for-dollar matching campaign for the Uganda Scouts for Clean Water project, thanks to a generous BP Fellow!

We welcomed more BP Fellows and Honours Programme Members at the BSA National Annual Meeting in Orlando.

The 43rd World Scout Conference provided a great opportunity to engage with Scout leaders, partners and BP Fellows from around the world! We delivered a plenary session, recognised new BP Fellows at our Foundation reception and engaged with partners in the marketplace.

Building on decades of collaboration to power youth-led action, psycho-social support, humanitarian action and climate initiatives, World Scouting and UNICEF joined forces to leverage the reach and expertise of two of the world’s largest and most recognised organisations dedicated to supporting children and young people across the globe. In addition, we partnered with Accenture for sustainable development and to propel digital and lifelong learning for Scouts worldwide.

We connected and advocated for youth-led action and empowerment alongside partners and prospective partners at the United Nations General Assembly and Summit of the Future. We also supported new institutional partnerships and met with individual donors at a privately hosted dinner.

Over 150 Baden-Powell Fellows, guests, and Scouts, participated in our iconic event in Rio. We celebrated international friendship, recognised new BP Fellows, marked the centenary of the Escoteiros do Brasil — the National Scout Organization, and learned about the impact of our collective support to World Scouting.

Honours Programme Members journeyed to Kenya for an adventure to discover Kenyan Scouting and the impactful Ticket to Life programme, bringing Scouting to children from vulnerable communities.
