\u201c<\/span>Despite<\/span> the unfavourable conditions of the financial market<\/span>, which<\/span> seriously <\/span>impacted<\/span> our investment portfolio<\/span>,<\/span> i<\/span>n 2022<\/span>,<\/span> we <\/span>increased<\/span> our fundraising <\/span>efforts<\/span>,<\/span> which<\/span> proved successful <\/span>thanks <\/span>to <\/span>our<\/span> Baden-Powell Fellows<\/span> and new donors<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span> You <\/span>contributed to our <\/span>first-ever<\/span> digital <\/span>Annual Appeal, <\/span>inspiring others to join a<\/span> culture of<\/span> annual giving<\/span> and allowing us to <\/span>recruit<\/span> new donors giving lower amounts than <\/span>the <\/span>entry level to the <\/span>BP Fellowship<\/span>, particularly through <\/span>our call for <\/span>emergency <\/span>funds<\/span> to support the <\/span>Scout<\/span> response to<\/span> the <\/span>war<\/span> in Ukraine<\/span>. <\/span>We raised <\/span>over <\/span><\/span>USD 5.2 million in 2022<\/span><\/span>. Not only did we raise more money<\/span> than last year<\/span>, <\/span>we<\/span> were also able to <\/span>disburse <\/span>a higher <\/span>sum <\/span>of <\/span>grants<\/span> to Scouting<\/span>,<\/span> total<\/span>ling<\/span> <\/span>USD 6.9 million<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>
